The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco invites you to attend the 51st Annual Advances & Controversies in Clinical Pediatrics, May 31 – June 2, 2018 at the Park Central Hotel, 50 Third Street, San Francisco, California. The program endeavors to provide research, academic, and clinical information in a format that emphasizes the practical application of current concepts relevant to office practice and to professionals involved in the care of children. Pediatric, family practice and emergency room physicians, as well as physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners report that they consistently benefit from their participation in this program. Nationally recognized guest faculty will present a series of lectures that are complemented by UCSF faculty and Bay Area experts speaking about a variety of current or controversial pediatric issues, which will ultimately result in better care for children of all ages, infants through adolescents. This year’s course focuses on infectious diseases, emergency medicine, cardiology, neurology, and the opioid crisis.

This CME activity meets the requirements under California Assembly Bill 1195, continuing education and cultural and linguistic competency.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ABP MOC Credit: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 20 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
