Overview:

This course is designed for speech language pathologists and other members of the multidisciplinary health care team highlighting a collaborative approach for head and neck cancer survivors. Learn about the most innovative behavioral and surgical approaches to improve voice, swallowing, and quality of life outcomes by a variety of specialists in speech language pathology, surgery, laryngology, nutrition, palliative care, and social work. You can catch up on any sessions you miss with the video recordings available for 30 days after the course.

LIVE STREAM MEETING
This course will be offered as an interactive virtual conference.  Login instructions will be shared with attendees a week before the meeting.  Included in your registration fee is access to the course content on demand for any sessions that you miss.

  1. Identify and describe the role of members in a multidisciplinary head and neck cancer team.
  2. Choose appropriate voice therapy candidates in the head and neck cancer population.
  3. Describe 3 swallowing therapy techniques for the head and neck cancer patient.
  4. Define key factors to facilitate a referral to psycho-oncology.
