Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) – Pediatrics Funded from 2010-2017 by a US$1.6 million grant from the US National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute, EPEC – Pediatrics has become the most comprehensive pediatric palliative care (PPC) curriculum worldwide. To date 1,517 clinicians from 100 countries/ territories from 6 continents have completed training.
The EPEC-Pediatrics curriculum features state-of-the-art knowledge in pain and symptom management and training in the skills required to address key domains for pediatric palliative care. The program is designed to give pediatric healthcare professionals (incl. physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, psychologists etc.) the knowledge and skills needed to provide excellent palliative care to their patients and their families.
Onsite and Remote Learning Options:
The course will be offered as a live conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel San Francisco. Registrants have the option to attend in person or to tune in remotely via zoom live stream during programming hours (Pacific Time). Login instructions along with the digital syllabus will be shared with attendees before the meeting. Included in your registration fee is access to the course recordings on demand after the conference and for 30 days after the course. You must tune in to live conference (in person or remotely) to claim CME.
The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
