This two-day conference has been coordinated through the University of California San Francisco, Division of Transplant Surgery and the Heart & Lung Transplant Program. This program is designed to provide a unique opportunity to hear UCSF Transplant experts share their knowledge of current legislation and organ allocation, pre-transplant management of end-stage organ disease, updates on immunosuppression, the assessment, management and treatment of rejection across the spectrum of solid organ transplants, the life-long management of transplant recipients and potential post-transplant complications, current transplant research, and partnering with technology to improve care. The information obtained from these presentations will better prepare CHCPs to provide optimal care to this complex patient population.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is a broad cross-section of health care professionals who care for pre- and post-transplant patients. Heart, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation will be discussed. The symposium content is designed for community/referring physicians, transplant nurses, coordinators, administrators, nurses, advanced practice nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and all members of the health care team who are interested in improving their clinical practice or patient management during transplantation.
The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
